Latest Obsession

Along with trying to build up my stock of key fobs and custom orders AND painting Christmas ornaments (I promise to post pics soon), I am obsessed with this house. Tom and I have lost out on the only 2 homes we both loved in the last 3 years. I have looked online and been thru dozens in the past 3 years. Tom wants a LARGE LOT and a mancave. I want more square footage, a concealed studio and something with character. This home has it all... and more. I am trying not to get excited about it with our history of losing to other bidders AND with this credit crunch. But I am already decorating and remodeling some of the rooms. Did I mention how SPECIAL the person that buys this home must be? It sits 40 feet from RR tracks, there is a family? graveyard on the property, it is on a country road 20 miles from a grocery store, the rooms are all interlocked...no hallways. It is a quirky house. Did I mention how SPECIAL I am? I see so much potential in this house. I will not be able to rush into this house purchase. I'm going to be patient and wait to see if it is MEANT to be. BUT hey, I can go ahead an start looking at fabric...right?

Hey Hazel, The house is beautiful! I don't blame you for loving it. We just can't help being drawn to special old homes with character, can we? Keep decorating!! Kelly

It looks absolutely stunning! That's the way I felt about the house we just bought last April and moved into this summer. I fell in love from the moment I walked in although it has it's quirks. It's the first time in all our house buying (and our 7th home in 11 years of marriage) that I felt like THIS was my house.

What a beautiful house! I hope it all works out in your favor.
I would love to have such a project - having completed a few in my time.
I love the size of the rooms and there is so much to work with. Even the garden looks promising.

Oh, I know that feeling of wanting a certain house so badly it hurts. I hope you get this one! It looks like it could be such a gem in the right hands.

Thanks for linking to my blog. Love the Obama quote at the top of your page, especially when so many politicians are trying to keep us divided. -Julia :-)
