Family Portrait

I just had to share. These pics were sent to me last night and I got such a good laugh from them. I love how they all matched their clothes! My mother, stepdad, and "sister" Raven.

Finally finished with all my orders except for a few for local stores. Tom and I STARTED our shopping last night and I'm hoping to get up to Ikea in Cincy today.
Monday I hope to have a little CRAFT party with Rachel's friends. We'll see.
The house is a wreck, I think I can get it clean with a couple hours commitment every morning.
Old toys must go to make room for new ones. Lots of needy people around here to give the slightly used items to. We're definitely cutting back this year. There simply isn't room in this house for anymore BIG stuff! We're still praying for our dream home, it's still on the market!
If I happen to not make it back to the blog before Christmas, I'm wishing everyone has a safe and HAPPY Holiday!

Working hard!

I've really had my nose buried in work, lots of deadlines to meet this past couple of weeks. Thought I'd share with you some Etsy purchases I made yesterday. The print is from Emily at The Black Apple and the stars are from The Starcraft. Check them out for unique and affordable gifts. I really will be posting ornaments in my shop soon... have patience!

Dreams really do come true and I am giddy with happiness!
I can see and feel a much needed change... coming.
I feel a unity and pride of country like I have not felt before. It's time to unite and make our country all it can be.  What a historical day. God bless America!

Still Kicking

LexmarkAIOScan31-1.jpg image by muraldevotee
Yes, I'm still here. I am in full production mode, trying to get thru this week (this is my weekly motto until December 24th). I always think it will get better if I can just push through til Monday. Then each Monday comes and I'm back "in the weeds".
I did manage a miracle yesterday. I took a bath, went to the bank  and grocery, took my little one to the park, cooked a real dinner, washed dishes AND cleaned the toilet. This in addition to painting, painting, painting. The next time this all gets done on the same day it will be Christmas Eve. Really. Not a joke.
I will be posting ornaments this week. The above photo is a sketch of some of the designs. They are so cute when finished with ribbon and I really LOVE them. I hope you do too.
Today I HAVE to: VOTE, paint, pack items to ship Wednesday, call shops, order more supplies.... the list goes on and on and on.
I did celebrate my 12th wedding anniversary this weekend, Tom's gift to me... a nap! He is truly THE BEST!

Latest Obsession

Along with trying to build up my stock of key fobs and custom orders AND painting Christmas ornaments (I promise to post pics soon), I am obsessed with this house. Tom and I have lost out on the only 2 homes we both loved in the last 3 years. I have looked online and been thru dozens in the past 3 years. Tom wants a LARGE LOT and a mancave. I want more square footage, a concealed studio and something with character. This home has it all... and more. I am trying not to get excited about it with our history of losing to other bidders AND with this credit crunch. But I am already decorating and remodeling some of the rooms. Did I mention how SPECIAL the person that buys this home must be? It sits 40 feet from RR tracks, there is a family? graveyard on the property, it is on a country road 20 miles from a grocery store, the rooms are all interlocked...no hallways. It is a quirky house. Did I mention how SPECIAL I am? I see so much potential in this house. I will not be able to rush into this house purchase. I'm going to be patient and wait to see if it is MEANT to be. BUT hey, I can go ahead an start looking at fabric...right?

"borrowed" the pic above from the best party planner/artist, A Fanciful Twist

Did I really turn 41 yesterday? According to my mother I did. She calls me every year on this momentous occasion and promptly starts singing "Happy Birthday" when I answer the phone. (imagine Marilyn Monroe but with a child like tone) It's not a birthday with out her doing this and I actually love that I'm 41 and my mommy calls me to sing to me.
It seems everyone in blogland knew it was my day. Martha's show was all about blogging, beautiful PAPER dresses were posted for Project Blogway, I discovered Design This Design That online magazine, love it! Anyone having extra cash sitting around (HA!) can take a look at my favorite things and send them my way, LOL!
What you can really do is support these 2 moms. $5.00 or more really adds up if a lot of people contribute.
Well I better get back to work and get started on my next 40 years?! Hugs and prayers for everyone!
P.S. If you have a birthday coming up... I can have my mom call you, just send me your number!

Crazy about this!

I have really flipped over this chandelier! I am a lighting fanatic.
I'm thinking of making some lights with this concept, just for me.
I'll let you know how it goes!

Never give a 10 year old this unless....

Never give a 10 year old this unless:
You want 12 calls from the backyard, bedroom ,bathroom...
You want her Aunt to be texted  at 1:53 AM
And 2:15AM
And 6:15 AM
You want pictures of her sleeping with it
You like candid photos of you looking horrid
You only want to communicate via the phone
You want her to give ALL our neighbors the number
You like hearing 10,000 times "Thank You Mommy, I love it!"
