Mother's Day is fast approaching!

With Mother's Day fast approaching, it's time to put some thought into her gift. What mother wouldn't love her kid's face(s) on a beautiful keychain!
These 1 1/2" wood ball keychains are hand painted with your choice of background color and dot color. You choose hairstyle/haircolor, add ons like hairbows etc. Can have up to 6 kids faces on them! They are "glazed" with a high gloss for scratch resistant shine! Priced per kid, check out my etsy shop for ordering info.

What Spring means to me

It really does feel like Spring today. I'm heading over to my sister's place to help her pack. She has to be out of her apt. Monday. It looks like we'll be having a big YARD SALE next weekend. She's not taking much in the way of furniture with her to L.A. Most of her stuff (She's a BIG Disney collector) will be going into storage. My hubbie will be out of town on business the next couple of weeks, so it looks like we'll be having ourselves a slumber party all week!
Spring means sunshine, flowers, yard sales, road trips, cleaning and cook outs to most people. It's all those things PLUS Christmas decorations to me. Yep, that's right, I started sketching my new line of ornaments this morning. I really need to start production on them in April. I have one artist hired (Alicia, You're a Godsend!) but I really need a couple more. If you know anyone in the area let me know!
I won't be posting pics of the ornaments until August or later, but I'll keep you updated on inspirations! Thanks so much for all your support!

Spring Cleaning

It has been a busy week catching up on orders. When it comes to my business I am an optimist, which is not always a good thing. I tend to think I can get more merchandise painted AND shipped than I really can. Shipping is definitely an obstacle for me. I have been leaving this task for evenings, hard to do with the girls running around. I have decided to work on shipping first thing in the mornings, I really hope this helps, it sure can't hurt!
Spring cleaning has begun in my studio and I hope to add a lot of older items to my Etsy shop next week. I will be listing most items at wholesale prices! I really have to get more organized and with Spring Break starting today, I think I can finally make the trip to IKEA next week!
I am also looking for new stores to carry my keyrings, if you know of any gift shops or kids stores that might be interested, then feel free to email the info!
Also, my sis is having a hard time finding a job out in L.A. Say a little prayer for her. I would like her to be happy and this move is HER DREAM.

Happy Easter!

I've been a terrible blogger! I've been working on Easter Buckets so fast and furious that I haven't had time to blog. They turned out nice, lots of custom orders, I think I'll add them to my wholesale catalog.
My friend Peggy has started a blog! Besides being a great mom, a fabulous daughter, a busy shop owner, and devoted friend to MANY, Peggy is a true gem! She has fantastic taste, always knows just what to say, NEVER sits still, and always goes above and beyond the task at hand! Her ONLY shortcoming... her computer skills! She is working on them and since discovering the blog world, she has become enthusiastic about learning more! Her blog is sure to be a hit! In other news, my little drama queen was in her FIRST school play, The Wizard of Oz, where she played the most wonderful munchkin of all! I think she out shined Dorothy, but I'm a little biased. This is sure to be the first of many shows in her little life. Besides, of course, the DAILY dramas she puts on in our home! She keeps us on our toes!

I'm so disappointed today... Ikea has opened an hour away in Cincinnati and I have too much work to do and can't go! Argh! My answer is so easy...Spauldings Bakery. This family owned business has been open as long as I can remember. My grandfather would take me there every Saturday as a child. THE BEST DONUTS IN THE WORLD!
I can prove it. Just drive by the local Krispy Creme and you'll have your donut and be on your way. Going to Spauldings...bring something to entertain yourself for the next 1-2 hours because you are sure to waiting in line that long. The problem with Spauldings is every person in front of you is not there for A donut or even 2. They buy them by the dozens! Can't describe how yummy they are... a little crunch on the exterior and melt in your mouth interior. I personally don't go there myself, I have friends/family pick up for me. Once a year I indulge! I think that time has arrived again...now who can I call?

Party!

At the Park

Well, we made it to the park and it was so rejuvenating! Ellie (2), my youngest, experienced it as if it were the first time. Rachel (9) tries to rule the roost everywhere she goes, this was also true for the park. We didn't see any bunnies but the ducks were out on the lake. I love days like this in Kentucky.
It's amazing what a little breeze and sunshine can do for my spirit. I'm ready to begin again!
Expect lots of NEW things from me...soon! I'll be posting new pics everyday and I really appreciate the feedback!

Spring?

The wind is kicking up the leaves outside. Woo! And a double HOO! I know it won't last long, but it gives me the strength to push thru the blahs. I have had extreme cabin fever mixed with little desire to leave the house... not a good combo. Today I'm getting out. Take the kiddies to the park and enjoy the moment. Sunshine is good for the spirit. Right? Maybe, just maybe, we'll see a cute little bunny that has escaped from it's little dungeon too. Hopping contest anyone?

New items in etsy shop

I've added 4" magnet/clips to my etsy site. They are heavy duty and come with initials/monogram/name/whatever. They have a beautiful shiny glaze that makes them look like glass. There are only 2 designs listed at the moment. More will be listed on Monday! I've also added bottles and ornaments to the site.
