Giveaway Day 5

Congratulations Dolls123! You won yesterdays giveaway!
Thanks so much to everyone for all your answers...the drama queen actually LIKED reading them!
The prize will posted asap.
Today's Question:Do you have a favorite local restaurant, coffee house, deli, mom and pop biz? What do you enjoy about it? Add your answer to the comments to be entered in the drawing for the daily giveaway.
My answer is so easy...Spauldings Bakery. This family owned business has been open as long as I can remember. My grandfather would take me there every Saturday as a child. THE BEST DONUTS IN THE WORLD!
I can prove it. Just drive by the local Krispy Creme and you'll have your donut and be on your way. Going to Spauldings...bring something to entertain yourself for the next 1-2 hours because you are sure to waiting in line that long. The problem with Spauldings is every person in front of you is not there for A donut or even 2. They buy them by the dozens! Can't describe how yummy they are... a little crunch on the exterior and melt in your mouth interior. I personally don't go there myself, I have friends/family pick up for me. Once a year I indulge! I think that time has arrived again...now who can I call?

My favorite is a produce store in Louisville, Ky that my Dad started in 1945 and it is still going strong.
Paul's Fruit Market- you can see on-line and order!
I grew up tasting the best and never snacked on any junk! Thanks Mom and Dad!

I like Fossati's Deli... the oldest in Texas. On Fridays they used to have the best cheese soup in the world, but they rarely serve it now. I still love the Turkey Po-boys with whatever their soup of the day is.

Mmmmm... soup on that one day of the year it can actually be called cold... nothing like it!

We have a great little Asian place called "Taste of Asia" right around the corner. The owner is always there and greets you with a smile and a pat on the back. They have great prices for the heaping helpings you get. Much better than a chain.

Your description has me drooling. I must stay away from donutsssss. Oh, but that sounds good. I have to say that my favorite hang out is Panera Bread. I like their coffees and choice of sandwiches or bagels. The honey cinnamon crunch bagel with hazelnut cream cheese--ohhh, so good.

Plus it's my get away spot when my hubbie watches the kiddos for a couple of hours. I read and write and enjoy the solitude.

My favorite restaurant in small town Michigan is AppleBee's. I know it is not a Mom & Pop place, but it is still my favorite! :)
